The Las Cruces Space Festival is excited to announce a first for the United States, as it looks forward to hosting ‘Our Place In Space- Las Cruces’, an art exhibition inspired by and featuring large images from the Hubble Telescope.
This amazing art show will run from April 8th at various locations around the city of Las Cruces, NM. Visitors will be guided to sites by an exhibition trail map that will be available to download from our website. ‘Our Place In Space- Las Cruces’ is organized in conjunction with Dr. Antonella Nota, Associate Director of the European Space Agency and Hubble Telescope Project Scientist, and Dr. Hussein Jirdeh, Head of Communications and Public Outreach at the Space Telescope Institute in Baltimore, MD.
Space Festival Director Jonathan Firth said “We are delighted to have the opportunity to host an ‘Our Place In Space’ exhibition in Las Cruces. Similar exhibitions have been held successfully in Italy, Germany and Austria, attracting large numbers of visitors, and this is a first for the U.S. Antonella and Hussein are gracious collaborators, and we think this show will be a real star for this year’s Space Festival.”
‘Our Place In Space- Las Cruces’ is designed to get visitors thinking about where humanity fits in the grand scheme of our universe. If your business is interested in participating in this exhibit, email lcspacefestival@gmail.com.
